Unit 1: Scottland


Scotland is one of the four main regions of Britain. It occupies about one third of the total land area in Britain. Most people live in Edinburg and Glasgow. Scottland has got some unusual traditions. Schottish men sometimes wear a kilt rather than trousers. There is a traditional Scottish instrument called bagpipes. Scotland is famous for its whisky. Whisky is a drink made from barley, yeast and water.
